    Converting Positional Advantage

Welcome to Converting Positional Advantage, a comprehensive chess course designed to take your strategic understanding to new heights.

This course, led by IM Boroljub Zlatanovic, focuses on strategic play in scenarios where one side possesses a stable positional advantage. Throughout the course, you will learn not only how to convert these advantages, but also how to accumulate more advantages, create weaknesses in your opponent's camp, and limit your opponent's potential for active play or counterplay.

The course is divided into four crucial strategic themes: Space, Activity, Key Squares, and Weaknesses. Each section contains 10 carefully curated model examples and 3 practical exercises to solidify your understanding and enhance your strategic intuition.

Space: Learn the distinction between gaining space and achieving a genuine space advantage. Understand the risks and rewards of pawn advancement, and discover how to apply pressure while maintaining material on the board.
Activity: Understand the vital role of piece activity and harmony in your game. Learn how to maintain piece activity and ensure effective collaboration between your pieces.
Key Squares: Grasp the importance of controlling key squares and understand the impact they have on the game. Learn how to secure dominance after potential exchanges and create multiple threats by rotating pieces onto key squares.
Weaknesses: Go beyond traditional pawn structure weaknesses. Explore concepts such as exploiting control of a file as a weakness and the "principle of two weaknesses" in endgame scenarios.

By the end of this course, you'll be well-equipped with principles, methods, and typical patterns involved in the conversion process. You'll also feel much more comfortable in situations where you hold a significant positional advantage, knowing what steps to take next and in what order.

This course comes with a Video Version (3h and 10min Running Time), allowing you to learn in a format that suits you best. Whether you're a beginner looking to improve your strategic play or an advanced player seeking to refine your understanding of positional advantages, this course is a valuable addition to your chess learning journey.
