Tactics Helping Strategy - Learn from Spassky and Petrosian

We're excited to present the eagerly awaited sequel to Grandmaster Mykhaylo Oleksiyenko's highly acclaimed debut course, "Tactics Helping Strategy." There are two major features that make the current course different from the previous one. First and foremost, the examples in this course are based on the practices of world champions Boris Spassky and Tigran Petrosian. At the same time, the selected positions are much more complicated compared to the first installment of the series.
Very often, chess literature tends to separate strategy and tactics. In practice, however, these two cornerstones of the game are very much interrelated. In this course, GM Oleksiyenko beautifully demonstrates how precise calculation can contribute to achieving strategic goals. Hence, while working on the material, you will improve both your strategic understanding and calculation skills.
The material is presented in a very interactive way. The database consists of 50 training positions, which are backed up with 50 annotated solutions.
To make the most of the course, we strongly encourage you to spend around 15 minutes thinking about each position. The time is limited because our idea is to simulate a practical game. After completing your thinking process, write down all the variations that you have calculated and justify them with a proper evaluation. Only then can you take a look at the video answer and compare your thinking process with the explanations of GM Oleksiyenko. After watching the video, we suggest that you take a look at the annotated PGN file.
This constant comparison between your thinking process and the objectively best answer is the hallmark of active learning. Only this proactive approach to studying the material will take your chess to the next level.
