Intuition Navigates Chaos: Turbo – Sacrifices & Navigating Chaos with IM Alina Kashlinskaya

“You must take your opponent into a deep, dark forest where 2+2=5 and the path leading out is only wide enough for one.”

    – Mikhail Tal

When Mikhail Tal played, exceptions were seen everywhere in his games, Bishops, Knights, Rooks, and Queens were given up just to move the enemy king one tiny square.

Time stopped as confusion reigned… every move plunging his rivals deeper into that dark forest of despair.

And while they thrashed around, panicked and blinded, Tal was calm.

He was the darkness… he was the storm. What did he have to fear?

Being comfortable in chaos is a rare and invaluable ability. It’s also teachable.

    About the Author:

Russian IM Alina Kashlinskaya (2494 FIDE, basically GM strength) is a former Russian Junior Champion and the 2019 European Women’s Champion, Olympiad silver medallist, she has also won silver and bronze medals at World Youth Chess Championship and has been the World University Chess Championship runner up!

And chess is in the family. Alina is married to Super GM Radosław Wojtaszek (peak 2750) – Anand’s second in 5 of his World Championship matches.

So very few chess coaches have a resume like this, we feel lucky to have Alina as part of our team!

How is this course going to help me?

Come and learn a bit of Kashlinskaya’s Chaos Control.

    attack execution

    • Game-Defining Decisions. When everything is on the line, sometimes you have to think outside of the box. IM Kashlinskaya gets you to consider moves that wouldn’t even occur to others. Would you find the best move for Black here? (Diagram. Hint: It’s a sacrifice!)
    • High-Stakes. Most players avoid risky situations… and pass up a ton of spectacular wins by doing so. Learn to love high-stakes, however, and you have a massive advantage over your terrified opponents. Alina makes you comfortable in chaos by showing you how to thrive in that zone.
    • Attack Execution. By analyzing these high-level positions with Alina, you will build up a powerful repertoire of tactical patterns AND master the art of attack execution for each one. That will make it easier for you to get the big decisions right. For instance in this diagram, has White got enough after 19.Bxd3 Nxd2 20.fxg6 fxg6 21.Bxg6?

As it is usual, the course includes puzzles and a summary in PDF, along with the PGN database with all the games in the course.

Whether you want to improve your calculation, attacking play, or ability to deal with complex positions, get this course – you will be very happy you did!
