9-round Swiss open tournament
Description:
Skopje Open 2023 is a traditional open chess tournament for any interested chess player; no
mater of the rating, title, or category in organization by the municipality Skopje, the capital city of
Republic of North Macedonia, Skopje.
The first prize at the tournament is € 2,000, while the best Balkan player will be awarded € 1,000.
One player can take only one Balkan prize (bigger one). Balkan Prizes are cumulative to regular prizes or special prizes from the OPEN A tournament. For example, If the winner of the tournament is a player from the Balkan federations, he or she will win 2,000 EUR+ 1,000 EUR in total 3,000 EUR.
Balkan Chess Federations are invited to delegate one GM Player and one Women player.
Accommodation with half board is provided by the organizer for a delegated player.
