Tactical Thursday: January Focus - Advanced Calculation Techniques
This January, GM Davorin Kuljasevic takes his Tactical Thursday series to the next level with a focus on Advanced Calculation Techniques. Building on the foundations of the Ply Theory, introduced in earlier editions, GM Kuljasevic will provide deeper insights into its practical applications, helping participants refine their calculation skills and decision-making processes.
The Ply Theory serves as a framework for structuring the calculation process, ensuring that each step is approached with clarity and precision. These sessions will delve into advanced scenarios, offering tools and strategies to minimize errors and enhance your ability to solve complex positions effectively.
As always, the teaching extends beyond calculation, addressing critical aspects of the decision-making process in practical games. GM Kuljasevic will share methods to approach challenging positions with confidence and structure.
The lectures will be held on two Thursdays this month, with two sessions each day. Participants will receive 10 test positions per session to solve independently, reinforcing the concepts covered. The final PGN file will include all test positions with detailed solutions, providing a comprehensive resource for further study.
Tactical Thursday is part of the Modern Chess Academy, granting all academy members free access to these lectures and the corresponding digital product to be released afterward.
