Strategy Wednesday: December Focus - Endgames with Minor Pieces

GM Ioannis Papaioannou continues his acclaimed Strategy Wednesday series this December with a deep dive into Endgames with Minor Pieces. In these sessions, the Greek endgame expert will explore the most important principles in four key types of endgames: opposite-colored bishops, bishop pair endgames, bishop versus knight, and pure bishop endgames.

With his systematic approach, Papaioannou will provide participants with a clear and structured method for studying and mastering these critical positions. By focusing on understanding key principles and practical application, these lectures promise to elevate your endgame skills to the next level.

As in previous months, the lectures will be held over two Wednesdays, with two lectures each Wednesday. At the end of each session, you’ll receive 10 test positions to solve independently, designed to reinforce the concepts covered. The final PGN file will include all test positions with detailed solutions.

Strategy Wednesday is part of the Modern Chess Academy, giving all academy members free access to these lectures and the corresponding digital product to be released afterward.
