Must-Know Strategies in the Nimzo-Indian Defense
GM Ioannis Papaioannou continues his highly regarded Strategy Wednesday series this March with an in-depth exploration of Must-Know Strategies in the Nimzo-Indian Defense. These sessions will focus on key strategic principles for both White and Black, covering essential middlegame plans, typical pawn structures, piece maneuvering, and long-term strategic ideas in one of the most respected openings in chess—the Nimzo-Indian Defense.
With his trademark systematic approach, GM Papaioannou will equip participants with the practical tools and deep strategic insights needed to confidently handle Nimzo-Indian structures. Whether you play the Nimzo-Indian as Black or face it as White, these lectures will significantly enhance your understanding of its most critical middlegame concepts.
As in previous months, the lectures will be held over two Wednesdays (12.03 and 26.03), with two sessions each day. At the end of each session, participants will receive 10 test positions to solve independently, designed to reinforce the concepts covered. The final PGN file will include all test positions along with detailed solutions.
Strategy Wednesday is part of the Modern Chess Academy, giving all academy members free access to these lectures and the corresponding digital product to be released afterward.
