Strategy Wednesday: November Focus - Symmetrical Positions

Strategy Wednesday: November Focus - Symmetrical Positions

GM Ioannis Papaioannou continues his acclaimed series on Strategic Play this November, with a deep exploration of symmetrical positions. In these sessions, the Greek expert will share his insights on handling symmetrical structures across various openings, making these lectures a valuable addition to your opening repertoire. Papaioannou will connect the themes of opening, middlegame, and endgame play, providing in-depth explanations of key endgames with symmetrical pawn structures to strengthen your understanding across all phases of the game.

As in October, the lectures will be held over two Wednesdays this month, with two lectures each Wednesday. At the end of each Wednesday session, you’ll receive 10 test positions to solve independently, designed to reinforce the concepts covered. The final PGN file will include all test positions along with detailed solutions.

Starting in November, Strategy Wednesday is now part of the Modern Chess Academy, giving all academy members free access to these lectures and the corresponding digital product to be released afterward. Join us for an insightful month of training that bridges theory and practice in symmetrical positions!
