Tactical Thursday: December Focus - Structured Calculation - Master the Ply Theory

This December, GM Davorin Kuljasevic continues his Tactical Thursday series with an in-depth exploration of the Ply Theory, a revolutionary method for structuring the calculation process. While the Ply Theory was introduced in the previous edition, these sessions will take a deeper dive, equipping you with advanced tools to refine your calculation skills and minimize errors.

The Ply Theory is designed to ensure you pay proper attention to each step of the calculation process, improving clarity and efficiency in your thought process. By mastering this structured approach, you’ll enhance your ability to assess complex positions and make precise decisions under pressure.

As in previous editions, the lectures will be held on two Thursdays this month, with two sessions each Thursday. At the end of each session, you’ll receive 10 test positions designed to reinforce the concepts covered. The final PGN file will include all test positions with detailed solutions, providing a comprehensive resource for review and practice.

Tactical Thursday is part of the Modern Chess Academy, where all academy members enjoy free access to these lectures and the corresponding digital product to be released afterward.
