Most players consume chess content.They:
Yet their results fluctuate — because their training lacks structure.
Modern Chess Academy was built to solve exactly that problem.
This is not a content platform. It is a monthly training system where every element supports the others.
Everything is connected.
Each month includes:
Strategy Wednesday → Positional understanding & long-term planning
Tactical Thursday → Disciplined calculation & practical sharpness
Repertoire Builder → Building an opening identity based on understanding
Guided Practice → Weekly curated training with structured repetition
Opening Radar → Modern theory & elite-level trends
Inside Your Games → Analysis of real member games
Mentorship Program → Personal direction & accountability
✔ All lectures recorded
✔ All material organized
✔ A system that builds month after month
Improvement in chess is cumulative.
The Academy provides the structure that makes that accumulation possible.
Modern Chess Academy does not offer shortcuts. There are no magic formulas here. The Academy will not replace the work you must do. It will only structure it.
This is a serious training environment. This environment is not designed for everyone. Before subscribing, ask yourself:
Am I ready to work systematically?
Am I willing to improve gradually, not emotionally?
If the answer is yes — you belong here.
Modern Chess Academy – April 2026 Program
April 2026 continues the structured development of Modern Chess Academy. The Opening Builder journey advances into dynamic King’s Indian and Grünfeld structures, strategic understanding deepens through one of the most important pawn structures in chess — the Maroczy Bind — while Tactical Thursday focuses on calculation under pressure. Guided Practice brings a new dimension with study-based training, sharpening pure calculation, imagination, and defensive skills.
This month is about clarity under complexity — understanding positions deeply, calculating accurately, and making strong decisions under pressure.
Réti for White: Fundamental Structures after 1.Nf3 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3
Coach: Grigor Grigorov
Dates: 21.04.2026 and 28.04.2026
April marks a key transition in the six-month Opening Builder project.
This edition focuses on structures arising against King’s Indian and Grünfeld setups, where dynamic tension, central breaks, and piece activity define the battle. These are not static positions — both sides have active plans, and understanding timing becomes critical.
The emphasis remains consistent: understanding over memorization. You will learn how to handle central tension, when to expand, when to restrain, and how to guide the game into strategically favorable structures.

From the Opening to the Endgame: Understand the Maroczy Bind
Coach: Ioannis Papaioannou
Dates: 15.04.2026 and 22.04.2026
April’s Strategy Wednesday is dedicated to one of the most important positional structures in chess — the Maroczy Bind.
This structure teaches control, restriction, and long-term planning. You will learn how strong players limit counterplay, improve their pieces patiently, and convert small advantages into winning endgames.
The focus is on positional domination through control, not immediate tactics.
Strategic Calculation and Calculation under Pressure
Coach: Swapnil Dhopade
Dates: 09.04.2026 and 16.04.2026
This edition of Tactical Thursday focuses on one of the most practical skills in chess — the ability to calculate accurately in complex positions and under pressure.
You will learn how strong players structure their thinking, identify critical moments, and stay objective when time is limited or the position is unclear.
The emphasis is on clarity, discipline, and decision-making under pressure.
Training with Studies
Coach: Siegfried Baumegger
April’s Guided Practice introduces a powerful and often underestimated training method — studies.
Studies are one of the best ways to develop pure calculation, imagination, and defensive technique. They train your ability to see hidden resources, calculate deeply, and find precise solutions in complex positions.
Weekly Structure
• 03.04. – Calculation
• 10.04. – Imagination
• 17.04. – Defence
• 24.04. – Endgame
