Play 4.Bg5 against the Gruenfeld
Discounted

We are happy to present the newest opening project by GM Kiril Georgiev - Play 4.Bg5 against the Gruenfeld. The starting position of the current database arises after 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 d5 4.Bg5
This sound developing move has always been popular. White immediately increases the pressure on the central d5-pawn. Obviously, the drawback is that the g5-bishop is temporarily vulnerable. In this survey, GM Kiril Georgiev shows that White can fight for an advantage without taking too much of a risk. It's very important to point out that with very precise computer play, Black can equalize. Our objective is not to prove an advantage. Instead, we are trying to create practical chances against human players.

Expert Repertoire against the Slav Defense - Part 2
Discounted

While the previous database was featuring 4...Bf5 and 4...Bg4, and 4...dxc4, in this survey, GM Roiz focuses on the equally topical 4...g6, and 4...e6. Additionally, he covers the Chebanenko approach based on 4...a6.

True to his analytical approach, GM Roiz suggests fresh and relatively unexplored concepts against almost all the critical lines. At the same time, all his suggestions are based on a solid positional foundation. The current database will be very useful also for Catalan players and people who play the Fianchetto System against King's Indian and Gruenfeld.

The database consists of 13 theoretical chapters, 12 interactive test positions, a Memory Booster, and Video Version (2.5h Running Time).

Expert Repertoire against the Slav Defense - Part 1
Discounted

The starting position of the current repertoire arises after the moves 1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.g3
In recent years, this variation became very popular at the highest level. By combining ideas typical for Catalan and Slav, White wants to build a long-term positional pressure. The solid positional foundation of this system, allows you to play without memorizing tons of theoretical variation.
The first part of the database deals with the three main moves - 4...dxc4, 4...Bg4, and 4...Bf5. The remaining options (4...g6, 4...e6, and 4...a6) will be dealt with in the second part of this opening project.
The database consists of 11 theoretical chapters, 11 interactive test positions, a Memory Booster, and Video Version (1.5 hours Running Time).

1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Bf4 - Complete Repertoire for White
Discounted

After the standard opening moves 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6, White has a typical choice between 3.Nf3, 3.Nc3 and 3.g3. All three lead to big opening variations in which the theory branches deeply and widely. Sometimes white players avoid this early by playing 2.Bf4 (the London system), 2.Bg5 (the Trompowsky attack) or 2.Nc3 (the Veresov Attack), trying to get a less theoretical type of game. However, all these systems have a downside in that White usually delays or altogether omits to play c2-c4, which decreases his influence on the centre.
That said, it might be possible to get the best of both worlds by playing 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Bf4!?, a variation that has been largely unexplored throughout chess history.

1.d4 f5 2.Bg5 - Expert Repertoire for White
Discounted

Given the rising popularity of the Dutch Defence, finding a reliable antidote is crucial for every 1.d4 player. In this database, GM Michael Roiz suggests a very dangerous and practical system - 1.d4 f5 2.Bg5.
By pinning the e7-pawn, White immediately makes it difficult for Black to proceed with the development. Besides stopping the setups based on ...e7-e6, White is ready to answer 2...Nf6 with 3.Bxf6, thus getting a fantastic version of the Trompowsky. Regardless of whether your opponent likes Stonewall or Leningrad structures, the system with 2.Bg5 will definitely take him out of his comfort zone. Moreover, in this survey, GM Roiz shows that even objectively Black does not have equality in this system.
