The Practical Trompowsky: An Aggressive Weapon for 1.d4 Players  Completed

In his second camp for Modern Chess, GM Nigel Davies will examine the Trompowsky (1.d4 Nf6 2.Bg5), an exciting and aggressive weapon used heavily by English players in the 1990s. It has been less fashionable of late but still packs a punch, and Davies has both played this opening and written a book about it. From a practical point of view, it often discourages players from meeting 1.d4 with 1...Nf6, and you will frequently see 1...d5 or 1...e6 instead.
